Know this will be a very cool feature. Can you sell it in kit form so we can mount the knobs in a monitor enclosure?

Re: We are working on Adding Rapid Override controls to the VCP
that's the plan.
two DIY products are coming down the pipe for knob and buttons controls that connect to CNC12 via USB.
one product is just the three knobs as the concept drawing above shows the other is those knobs AND four of the most common buttons used when operating a machine.
these buttons will be user definable as well. so if you need some other action besides, cycle cancel, tool check, feed hold or cycle start you can hyjack it and make it do what you want. (with a little programming, we'll try to make it easy on you:-))
note: the estop button in the image above connects in the regular estop manner, Everything else is via a single USB cable.

Re: We are working on Adding Rapid Override controls to the VCP
That will be the cat's meow, looking forward to it. I'll take the first one. (I'm not super crazy about the USB only connection but I'll try it)
I love the pot idea instead of using the VCP for spindle and feedrate, much easier to fine tune speeds and feeds. I only have estop, cycle start and feed hold on my DIY button box. Never saw the need for cycle cancel or feed hold but hey, why not?
This is my typical remote mounted button box on the end of the gantry. They are backlit with LED lights but the machine is off now.

This looks GREAT! I've added physical switches to my machines. On my lathe it's the only thing I needed the 1616 expansion for. Nice work!!cnckeith wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 6:30 pmthat's the plan.

Re: We are working on Adding Rapid Override controls to the VCP
My preferred solution would be to have one of the Macro buttons on the WMPG to switch from feed/rapid override.
This is how my production CNC machines are working.
