Quick update.
Pay attention to what is going on around you. I'll get to that in a second.
The Joki magnetic encoders work with the CNC4PC differential adapter boards(C72). Meaning I threaded parts, tapped holes and constant surface speed works with the spindle! The spindle readout in CNC12 is dead on what my test tachometer reads.
My stepper drive works for my axis ATC, although not mounted yet, nor complete. The the pulse works as well from the encoder for homing. It's the same Joki encoder with pulse out and NO differential adapter. Just connected like a proximity switch.
Pay attention! I was testing input and output responses with the encoder and I dropped a jumper wire. It landed directly accross the right terminals to kill my C86 board(CNC4PC). It still works "IF" I disconnect the fault/enable input to Acorn. Ordered another board and I am off to California for work.
I painted some of the components and started the reconstruction.I'll try and get some pictures tomorrow. This machine should be complete in about 3 weeks! Gotta find a small "paying" lathe job to run on it.
