It looks like the relay is powering the coil that pulls the contactor in, which then powers the router. If you put a snubber/quencharc across the coil connections, it would likely fix the issue. It also looks like that contactor has a 120vac coil, so the output 1 relay is sending 120vac to the coil. When output 1 opens, the coil cuts off and there's a surge that causes "noise", which then disrupts the Ethernet.

When you power down and back up, everything is well until you energize/de-energize that contactor again.

FOUND THE ISSUE! I did have the CNC12 relay panel wired correctly transferring a low 24 vdc signal out of the relay board to a secondary relay (24vdc to 120vac output 30amp). I replaced the secondary relay with a same value but different manufacturer and type. Now it's working without throwing the 452 communication error...yippee! I guess for some reason, maybe an interference or noise issue, the relay was faulty. Thank everyone for the advise and their thoughts!

It is also possible that the new relay has the snubber network built in or clipped on. You really should make sure that there is something controlling the energy it will dump when de-energized.

Yes, I ordered a snubber online to install on the contactor that powers the machine on start up. Question; does the snubber install on the load side of the contactor or line side? Contactor is a 30amp, single phase 120vac. Thanks.

A snubber on the router power circuit would connect on the load side of the contactor (e.g. T1 to T2).

A snubber on the contactor coil circuit would connect across the coil circuits (A1 to A2).
