Hey Gang,
I have been having a blast with my Allin1DC converted 1998 vintage Prototrak DPM bed mill. I purchased the mill at an auction for an unbelievable price, got the original Trak Controller working and sold that for more than I payed for the mill:)
Anyway, then with CNCkieths's help I converted it to use an Allin1DC so that I could use modern CAM software unlike the 90's vintage Trak controller (which I was/am a big fan of, but time moves on:)
I have been making quite a few parts on it for my car project, but finally had an application to try some true 3D milling vs 2 1/2D I had mostly done. The results turned out great!
Take a look:
My plan over the winter is to upgrade the machine to the latest version of CNC 12 and customize my control panel, etc. More fun to be had!
Thanks,
Tim
