Re: Centroid CNC12 v5.1 RC3 installer, Mill, Lathe, Router, Plasma, Acorn, AcornSix, Hickory, Oak, Allin1DC, MPU11
Since these file were the only ones I've tried on 5.10RC3, I thought I better try some others that have many short segments, and I see that it affects many others as well. I have this file (starts at the 1 minute mark) https://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=20948#p20948 that has a lot of spira...

Here's a video comparison. It's prevalent from start to end. I also tried all other smoothing parameters, and the result were similar for each.

Here are two files, and a screenshot of the layout to show the datum point. Size is 15" x 6". You should notice it right away at the beginning of either file. v5.10RC3 will barely get up to 35ipm while jerking along, where v5.08 will get close to the commanded feedrate on the low to no det...

There seem to be something broken with smoothing in RC3. I have a special set of smoothing parameters for 3D relief and V-Carving, and with RC3, it's almost like it's stuck in exact stop mode. Motion is very jerky with a simple 45º ramp up, shallow dish, and 45º ramp down. V-Carving is not fluid in ...

Hey David,
I much prefer the K400r keyboard if you can get them. They have larger directional arrow keys. Keyboard jogging active with Alt-j, and hold the FN key while using the pg up/pg dn arrow keys should make them work.

Re: Wiring multiple closed loop steppers
Those drives should have a LED that will flash with fault code, so that would give you a visual of which one is faulting.

Re: CNC12 v5.1 Release Candidate #2 is now available.
are you using the Tool Touch Off menu to setup a Touch Plate? Well, I guess I am. When I first set this machine up 5 years ago, I didn't have a fixed tool measure device/plunger yet, just a simple conductive touch plate. So the most logical/easy settings were to set the touch plate for ToolTouchOff...

Re: CNC12 v5.1 Release Candidate #2 is now available.
using a NC touch plate assigned as a probe requires a detect. The touch plate is set as a touch plate, and it's not NC. The tool measure plunger is set as Probe and is NC (NO when triggered). Unconventional configuration I know, but it has worked flawlessly for 5 years. if you use NO touch plates i...

Re: CNC12 v5.1 Release Candidate #2 is now available.
Yes, the device on input 7 is a fixed tool measure button (metrol clone type) and there is no ProbeDetect circuit for a detect input. As stated in the referenced thread, setting parameter 404 to 70267 fixed the situation created by the new probe logic that started with v5.07r12, but it doesn't in 5....

Re: CNC12 v5.1 Release Candidate #2 is now available.
Is it possible that this issue has crept back in? I am not able to get TT or probing to work as it used to, and it seems to be acting similar the the linked post. Parameter 404 is set, but it makes no difference this time. Auto Z to plate does not stop upon touch. The input for TT does trip in the d...
