I swapped the MPG with the one from my lathe. Problem follows the MPG. Lathe MPG works as expected on the mill.

The rotary encoder stopped working. Is there a repair or replacement program along the lines of the Acorn deal?

Leadshine makes a really nice NEMA 42 Easy Servo motor and drive that's hard to beat. It's a closed loop stepper. Bolts right up aside from maybe needing a different size taper lock. Tom mentions the tool probe being in the tool table. I know how that works on my mill. This is a lathe conversation and I don’t see anything in the manual about a lathe tool touchoff being in the tool table or assigned a tool number..

Where/how do you set the probe as a tool? This is not covered in the lathe user manual that I see..

Following along. I bought the TT-4 for lathe and could not figure out the auto tool measure routines. I’m measuring manually and it’s working perfectly.

In the spirit of this conversation, I'm not running the latest CNC12 on one of my machines because it works great and I haven't had the time/need to upgrade.. On another, I have the latest because it solved an issue I was having..

I have a physical switch on two different machines. Works great.
