Hey All sorry for the delay on getting back to this post - it did come to me after a few beers what my issue was - I didnt have the encoders hooked up and these drives do require encoders to operate. The newer version of the CL57t has a dip switch to turn the closed loop off.

the ZRI Homing process is working now ! very happy about it.

but i need to use a workaround. since the RS422 Signal cannot switch an Input and the variable in Acorn is not written from the INdex pulse, i use an little Optocoupler transistor from 5V to 24V ...

I have a set of Stepperonline CL57T 3.0 stepper drivers that I have bench tested with my board long ago but now theyre not functioning as they should.. or at all ... I have burnt up one stepper motor already

Acorn Board connected to stepper drivers via DB25 5v logic ...

I've used those Omron knock-off sensors. They are open collector normally open (although they are also available as normally closed). The 24V you are measuring is due to the pullup resistor within the Acorn. This pulls the input up to 24V when there is no path to ...
