Re: New Build: Denford/Sherline MicroLathe
FWIW, I have skimmed through most of the 403 page Lathe user manual and when I look up G99 there is nothing anywhere that says nothing will happen if it's active and the spindle isn't turning. If the spindle is turning, I am now getting movement so thanks for the tip. But is it possible to command ...

Re: New Build: Denford/Sherline MicroLathe
You should read the manual....
G98 per minute feed
G99 per revolution feed
if G99 is active and the spindle is not turning nothing will happen

Re: Rough Motion on Circular Toolpaths
Looks like a mechanical problem, backlash or something else not tight.

Re: Introduction video to using Notepad ++ and the NCnetic G code editing plugin.
There is a pro version of the plugin for 4-5 axis machining, you can send an inquiry if he could make a multiaxis version for lathes.

Re: New Build LMS 3990 Hi Torque Mini Mill
If 1111.nc is loaded and you replace this file with a new version 1111.nc just hit cycle start.
No need to load it again.

Re: New Build LMS 3990 Hi Torque Mini Mill
If the new job with same name is placed in the same location as the current job, CNC12 will execute the new job.

Re: Grizzly G4003G conversion
I do not think the driver accepts 0-10V for rpm control from Acorn. A CNC with only spindle on/off is not the best idea. Also, If you want to use rigid tapping, feed/rev an encoder 1:1 on the spindle is required. For the size of this lathe, a 1500W AC Servo with 0-3000 rpm would be a better choice. ...

Re: Grizzly G4003G conversion
They work, there are lot of low buck conversions with these, but I think 340$ for the other parts is too much.
I would use a JMC or Leadshine servo and make the adaption my self.
