Re: Rotary axis moving when turning on controller box

Tony, when you reset the control that relay should be turning on. It is correct? Now hit your Estop button, it turns off correct? If the control experiences a fault it will turn off. How can I tell if the relay turned on? measure the voltage on the coil, or wire a control LED to the relay. Uwe

Re: Stepperonline CL86T with Acorn

This drive should be wired to the DB25 as it is a 5V logic drive. That said, if you want to keep it wired to Acorn header, I would feed +5VDC from the Acorn power supply to +Pul, +Dir, +Ena instead of 24VDC and eliminate the resistors you put in series with the -Pul, -Dir, -Ena. My .02 Marty Marty,...

Stepperonline CL86T with Acorn

I wanted more power for my Z and decided to go with the CL86T driver, 12Nm (106.26 lb-in) 34HS59-6004D-E1000 closed loop stepper driven by 60V DC These are made by Leadshine for Stepperonline. Thought about JMC integrated Servo or Stepper also, but i do not like have to build some enclosure for the ...

Re: JMC integrated Servo - which Drive Type?

JMC iHSV are 4.4-24V Pul/Dir/Ena and 8mA max on ALM Ped so you should use 1kOhm 5V or 4.7kOhm 24V for ALM and Ped

Try to get them with newest software Version 604

Re: no heartbeat and relays on always

My Board was also dead one day after running a new part.

Solution was a bad placed wire from one NPN home sensor, that got squeezed and shorted at max. Y travel.

Replaced the wire and took care of not to squeeze it, problem solved.

Re: ENCODER INSTALLATION: INDEX PULSE PROBLEM

Glad you found the electrical issue with the index pulse, but I think you are going to have issues because that encoder is NOT belted TO the spindle at 1:1 with a timing belt. Gears have lash.... Dear Marty, thank you for your suggestion, If I will notice this problem then I will update the encoder...
