Ok, so the problem was kind of a dumb error on my part. I was using the wrong common for the feed to input 5. Since I use a separate 24v power supply for inputs I just needed to move it over to that power supply.

Re: Can't enable ClearPath Servos via C86ACCP Sotware enable
Hello Stuart, I have a very similar setup. I am not sure what caused your issue but I do have a question for you. I see in your photos that input 5 in lit up green. Mine is configured the same way and I cannot get the input 5 to go green upon enable but everything is enabled and works, however if a ...

Re: Clearpath and C86ACCP question.
So back to this. I wired everything according to diagram S15072r4.pdf In looking at different videos and pictures I see that input 5 set as drive ok is green when enabled. I currently have input 5 for drive ok and set as normally open. If I set it to normally closed like everything I read and see I ...

Re: Clearpath question
Interestingly, take my X axis for example. I'm using a SDSK-3432P-ELS. Running through a 10:1 planet box to a 1" helical pinion. X car with spindle is almost 100lbs. I did autotune and was not happy with the motion. overall turns ratio is aprox. 3.176 Went back to unloaded factory profile and i...

Clearpath question
Hello, I recently changed over to clearpath servos. I won't add any details as of now but in general I seem to get smother motion with the stock motor profiles rather than the autotune. I know there are a lot of variables involved, but has anyone using clearpaths run them without using autotune? Jus...

Re: Clearpath and C86ACCP question.
He says, OK...Here is the scoop: 1 Ignore the schematics DO NOT SET ANY INPUT TO DriveOk at this time DO THIS LAST!!! 2 Put a wire jumper across the 2 terminals next to the power input terminals (new ones come this way) 3 Power the 86accp from the Acorn4 +24VDC& COM terminals, so it is on when ...

Clearpath and C86ACCP question.
Hello all, I have changed from steppers to clearpath servos. All went well in the conversion and my machine is running great. I do have a question regarding the correct setup of the drive ok input. I am using the C86ACCP. It is all setup an configured mostly from watching one of Marty's videos on it...

Re: Overall turns ratio, advice.
Thank you, I knew something did not seem right. I will rework this design. Probably go with the 10:1 gearbox with the 1" pinion. That will get me into the zone at roughly 3.1831 The only concern I have with that is retaining my high rapid rates. At least 1000 ipm.I am using a max 2380 rpm clear...

Re: Overall turns ratio, advice.
Hello, I just want to verify that I am calculating this correctly. I am upgrading to helical rack & Pinion and clearpath servos. So I am designing with the ability to switch out 3 different size pinions if need be. The largest one I can use is a 32 tooth pinion that has a pitch diameter of 2.005...

Yes, I agree, not a contender at all.
