Using in a gang tool setup on a lathe.

While this tool is shaped like a parting tool it's used like a turning tool.

I saw the setup instructions in the manual for both and there's where the confusion starts.

If I set it up like a parting tool in absolute mode there's no way to account for the ...

I reverted to version 4.18 earlier today and the front/rear setting seems to be working fine in that version.

Many thanks to both of you for your responses. I actually had the machine set up that way about two weeks ago but convinced myself it was wrong. I've retrofitted two mills but this lathe is kicking my butt. It's just different enough to confuse me to the point of frustration. Maybe the other ...

Just noticed today that I have this problem as well. Did any of you get any feedback is to if it's going to get fixed?

I'm back at it this morning. I had myself in circles yesterday thinking about it and don't think I explained my confusion very well. Here's a video that I think will help.

I did get my axis dialed in with an indicator so they should be pretty accurate and I increased the rapids some so that's nice ...

Yea, that whole setup had me confused. I fiddled with it for 2 days and finally settled on what you just saw. Can't remember how I got there but something about steps per motor turn or something like that. Can't really remember how I got there. It's been bugging me that I got it to work but never ...
