Acorn lathe auto tool set up

Hello to all. My first question is. Is there any documentation on the use of the auto tool set up with a probe? I have the probe working but the X axis is coming out about .750 to the positive side. This is after I do the z and x probe. I could use a good explanation on this subject.

Thanks John

Acorn Lathe removed ATC

Hi Guys I have an Issue with one of my lathes. I had a ATC on the machine and I went back to a tool post and now when it gets to a tool change it states. (Turret Invalid Position, Re-Initialize ATC Press Cycle Cancel to stop Program) I think I have the Parameters Changed back to non ATC use.

Re: Rt Hand Boring Bar Rear approach machine

Ok guys I got it. I also have Kipware T for doing my programming and on the page where it creates the G Code it has a spot to Reverse X axis Coordinates. Then when you set the x axis for the tool you have to put - in front of the number. Works Great

Re: Rt Hand Boring Bar Rear approach machine

Yes I did see that. Now that’s good to know for auto tool set up. What I’m trying to do is run a Rt hand bar but the x axis will move in the wrong direction. Boring programs are written to go in the positive direction. The tool would have to go in the negative direction.

Re: Tail stock in and out

My question is why did they set up the Tailstock with one button? Why not have it like the chuck as in chuck open and chuck close?…. Tailstock out and Tailstock in
