DM 542 driver

I'm sorry to bother everyone with this, but I'm stumped! I just installed a new Acorn board. Photo's attached. No matter what I do, all steppers will only move in one direction no matter if you push plus or minus.

I checked the wires from the acorn board to the stepper drivers (DM542). I have 5 ...

I pulled the SEED board from the new Acorn and swapped it out with one from an older board that was laying around. That fixed the problem. So is the SEED BOARD BAD?

I have a brand new board, Acorn 9075. Everything comes on, except the heartbeat. I cannot run a report so this is all I have. Any suggestions?

Thanks to everyone for your input. THe problem has been solved...yep, Centroid encoder did the trick. That was a very expensive lesson for me, but one well learned.

Can anyone tell me the encoder that Centroid recommends? I have tried about 6 different ones.

The * by the N is always there, even with no encoder plugged into the board.

I have completely uninstalled the software,,,again,,,reset it all over and nothing changes.....I reversed the wires as you recommended as well.

One last question. I have it set in the Wizard at 8000. Where else should I set it?

And now, I have no spindle rpm's
