finally got the machine cleaned up.. repaired the oiling system and ready to start setting up the acorn and related control setup

what is the best VFD i can use with the acorn. the spindle motor is 2 hp

tagging along here.. went to automation direct.. looks like they have pretty good pricing..

but purchasing the line reactor.. 3 circuit breakers and 3 contactors ... theres 450.00 in my cart !!

have to do some thinking on this

finally getting my acorn up and running.. can you recommend me a fuse block ( will be running 3 axis possibly 4 axis dyn4 220 VAC motors ) and an E stop contactor?

and where do you get your wire raceway ? maybe 1 x 1

Hey guys YAY finally working on my acorn and i have a question about limits / home switches... so i watched Marty's videos and he recommends normally closed operation. ( the boss was set up for normally open ) i was able to open the switches and re-configure them for normally closed.. so my question...

CNC Keith, thanks for the reply and thanks for the link. lots of reading to do here ! well, in the meantime i went ahead and gutted the heidenhain controls.. think the easiest thing for me to do is to put the centroid in and new ac servo motors... i have actually started a boss 5 with DMM ac servos ...
