I too am waiting for more inputs, my machine has Start, Stop and Pause pushbuttons plus a Touchoff pushbutton in place already, just nowhere to connect them to in Acorn.

Re: Tool Setting Options For Routers and Mills

Very interested to see what you have done, this would make M6 behave alot more like my old LinuxCNC M6 where it knew the first run was different from any subsequent run.

Hi Scott

Looks like I have a lot to learn about Acorn and it's settings, my hat is off to you on more awesome work. The wealth of knowledge just in this thread is outstanding.

Re: Tool change position

Isn't G28 the tool change location? I set G28 to where I wanted it to happen and it just goes there when M6 happens......

Re: Australian Mechmate transforms to Acorn

Thanks guys

That looks far easier than using inputs to figure out if it is up to speed :) I will mod all posts I have that I use, Fusion 360, Aspire and Artcam :) I was modding the gcode before I ran it and 5 secs looks ample.

Re: CNC12 Acorn 4.14 - MPG not working after upgrade < answered>

Just thought I would add to this thread. I too have an issue where the MPG will not work on anything but X1 when my probe is disconnected. I have a Tormach Passive Probe that is NC until tripped. I have the probe connected to INP7 with Probe Detect on INP 6. With the Probe disconnected, only X1 work...

Re: Tool Setting Options For Routers and Mills

After you jog the X and Y over to the plate, jog the Z down Hi Gary I do that now for my movable plate however my fixed touch off is level with my spoil board. As Z goes to zero for the move over to the fixed, it is a 6 inch drop to touch it. In Linuxcnc I had a rapid to 2 inches off the fixed, the...
