I did exactly this the other day until Swissi pointed out that I was displaying WCS G54, yet the "reset home" homing sequence sets up the MCS G53 coords. Doh! If you switch to MCS (Alt-D), you will see machine coords are all at zero. To zero in WCS / G54, use the "set all zero" ...

MY Z axis has now decided not to set itself to zero after homing, it used to up to today. Does anyone have any idea why?

The stepperonline drives are more sympathetic to our current exchange rate than the clearpaths so was just making sure they weren't inferior in any way. Might buy 1 axis worth from stepperonline and see how they perform.

Interesting,would these be better than clearpath servos in NEMA 34 if you can connect the encoder to Acorn? I noticed in the video Franco has the encoders connected but in the docs attached the encoders aren't connected.
