Re: Oak with Delta C2000
Okay, I think you have made it clear that the spindle does not restart, in the forward direction, after it finishes tapping the preceding hole. I assume, in the video you just posted, that you had changed Parameter 78 back to 0. Please leave Parameter 78 set to 1. The spindle speed display in the st...

Re: Limit/home switches
No home or limit switches are strictly required. You can make an Allin1DC control work without them. It just won't work as well or as safely as it could. A fully-equipped control that takes advantage of Centroid's design features would have two limit switches per axis. Those switches need to be norm...

Re: Hardinge CHNC4 Retrofit
Just to be sure there are no further snafus, connect the CAPBRDHI to the transformer; power up; and check DC voltage across the capacitor, before you connect that DC output to the Allin1DC. You should see around 110VDC to 130VDC.

Re: Oak with Delta C2000
Good information. You have a hardware/electronic/connection issue with your spindle encoder feedback. Since you have P78 = 1, the RPM display in the status window is the actual speed at which spindle encoder counts are coming into the Oak, from the spindle encoder, by way of the EMC-PG01L board. If ...

Re: Oak with Delta C2000
Based on your response, I still cannot tell whether the spindle is turning, or stopped, when the problem occurs. The spindle is, in fact, turning at ca. 500 RPM? spindle always shows right RPM +500 and -500 for reverse Where does it show this? That sounds kind of like you are describing the spindle ...

Re: Oak with Delta C2000
it taps couple of holes and stops after COMPLETING cycle and moving to next hole, when i get "Waiting for spindle direction" at that time spindle speed is 0 But at that time, when it is at the next hole, not moving the Z axis, and the message window says "Waiting for spindle directio...

Re: Oak with Delta C2000
Swapping the A channel with the B channel will not, by itself, introduce any signal errors. It will just make the encoder count in the opposite direction, which just means you change the sign of the value you put in Parameter 34. If the displayed spindle RPM goes to zero, then you are not receiving ...

Re: Oak with Delta C2000
I don't think the rigid tapping cycle cares about zero-speed or at-speed digital inputs. All it cares about is the spindle encoder feedback. At what point in the tapping cycle does it "stop randomly"? You have not posted a Report, so we can only guess at your configuration (e.g. P68, P69, ...

Re: m400, windows failure to load
Does the cooling fan on the CPU chip / heat sink, on the motherboard, run without interference? In your 9/15/24 picture, it looks like the ATX 12V power wire may be uncomfortably close to interfering with the fan blades. If the CPU fan is prevented from running, then you would expect the motherboard...

Re: Hardinge CHNC4 Retrofit
That black device is a transient voltage suppressor, not a capacitor. Just to be clear, without re-reading the last 180 posts in this thread: Is the cap board that you have, a "CAPBRDLO" with two screw terminals for AC input, and with a square bridge rectifier? Or is the cap board that you...
