Re: CNC11 update

You don't need a new pendant; that did not change at all. Instead, the internal numbers assigned to the pendant keys and LEDs in the PLC program (the JPI and JPO definitions) all changed. Instead of jumping all around based on function, the numbers are now assigned in order, row by column. The follo...

Re: (404) Spindle Fault on CNC11 with GPIO4D

This is totally dependent on the PLC program you are using.

However, more likely than not your PLC program follows the convention of recent years: bit 1 (value 2) of Parameter 178 selects a normally-closed spindle fault. Otherwise spindle fault is assumed to be normally-open.

Re: TECO FM50 Spindle Inverter Wiring and DC3IOB

To further cloud the question of whether to have Emergency Stop break the line power, or just the enables: If you break the enables and leave line power on, then the inverter can provide dynamic braking (decelerating the spindle and dumping the power into the braking resistor). If you cut off line p...

Re: TECO FM50 Spindle Inverter Wiring and DC3IOB

Rather than wiring directly from "SPIN RESET COM" to "SPIN EN COM", you should route that wire through an open pole of your emergency stop contactor or relay. This will ensure that the run signal (forward or reverse) gets cut off when you press emergency stop, even if the compute...
