Re: Wizard data disappearing

Greetings, I'm having a problem with CNC12 Acorn Router V5.08. It is similar to a problem I had with the previous version which was V4.8. With V5.08, the Wizard page for Axis Squaring resets and loses my settings. It first happened last week. All my macros were off. Once I discovered that the Axis ...

Re: How to go outside soft travel limits?

I did exactly this in my M6 macro. I'm not near the machine right now to get it. If you search my name you should be able to find a report.zip file with it in there though. The only catch was that if you cancel/stop during a tool change, then you get left with the y limit wrong. But running a succe...

Re: How to go outside soft travel limits?

I'm trying to modify my M6 macro to modify the y axis soft limit so that when I move the machine to the tool changer, make the change, and then once done, set the y soft limit so the tool can't contact the tool changer. For my config, the Y axis is axis 2, so I assume I would need to modify #23502 t...

Re: Acorn Auto Measure Macro

I'm mainly interested in how they set the tool offset and z-ref, I'll look though the cncm folder to see if I can find the probe_move_to_surface file for some hints.

Acorn Auto Measure Macro

Where is the file (macro) stored that the acorn used when I press the auto measure button on tool offset screen? I'm lookin go use the same functionality in a custom macro and would like to copy what is there as a starting point.

Re: Home to limit switches.

Good catch, I did not catch that on the screen shot, but I did specify them. I wonder why they changed back to0. I will change and see what happens. I have found if you edit the motor parameters in CNC12 and then use the wizard to change something it will reset the motor parameters to match the wiz...

Re: Home to limit switches.

I'm not an expert but, I know on my motor config page I have values set under the home plus or minus that map it to the correct input for homing. I don't see any inputs defined on yours. See my screen shot on page 4 of this thread.

Re: Home to limit switches.

Whenever you hard code a value in a program, I explicitly call out G20 or G21. exactly, you have to let CNC12 know that your numbers in the g code/macros are MM or inches I learned this lesson the hard way, what caught me by surprise is the home macro as I just used the wizard and it worked without...

Re: Home to limit switches.

I changed the machine units and display units to inches an it broke broke my custom park and y axis homing. The park was done in mm units and was easy enough to change. The values for the automatic axis squaring did not update in the wizard and in cnc12 so home speeds where way too fast and crashed ...

Re: Home to limit switches.

Yes for now the machine units are set to inches for my stubbornness in going metric, the machine is has metric screws so setup was easy to do in mm. going on 30 years of running machines in inches us hard to get away from. I see that tool table stays in mm even when setting the display to inch so I...
