Re: SERVO SPINDLE MOTOR OPTIONS MILLTURN CAXIS LATHE
What did you end up doing on this project? I'm on a similar trail for two machines. Having researched it out, I'm surprised that there's not more support for C-axis / mill-turn conversions on the CNC aftermarket or more explicit direction from Centroid. Siemens, Fanuc, Mazak and Okuma seemed to have...

Re: Mazak Slant Turn 15 Build
I did a 1986 Hitachi Seiki slant bed lathe 9 years ago (with cncsnw batting clean-up with me) and it's been an unequivocal success as a daily driver in a production environment.
Very similar in design to your Mazak - and color.... love that green.

Live tool lathe, spindle orientation
Planning the details of our next Centroid conversion. This lathe has live axial and radial tools, as well as a spindle brake. Can the Oak controller and CNC software: 1. Do polar coordinates using the spindle drive as a servo, like Fanuc, Siemens, etc. for drilling operations? 2. Do live profile mil...

Re: MPU11 / GPIO4D to Fanuc Servo Drives
Actually, according to Ajax, not even the OPTIC4 is compatible with these Fanuc drives. They looked over the specifications and said they would not be able to support such an installation.
Yaskawa, it is.

Re: MPU11 / GPIO4D to Fanuc Servo Drives
Actually, I'm going to call this one largely resolved for now. Look what valuable document I just found:
http://www.ajaxcnc.com/downloads/Techni ... ns/233.pdf
This covers my X axis drive situation perfectly.

MPU11 / GPIO4D to Fanuc Servo Drives
I'm hoping to get some recommendations of how to interface the GPIO4D to Fanuc servo drive amps #A06B-6047-H003 (also Fanuc #P470673 or #A20B-0009-320/xxx, for future readers' interest). I've searched the board to no avail so far. I've attached the wiring diagrams associated with these connections t...
