Re: centroid with sheetcam.
yes that is what i was thinking. I have no experience with the wiggle type pierce but it sounds like it could be useful on thick plate as the torch would move around in a tight circle to lessen the chance of metal blowing straight up to the nozzle.

centroid with sheetcam.
I have been experimenting with sheetcam on my centroid table rebuild. I downloaded the sheetcam for centroid post. (works great!). My question is has anyone used sheetcam to take full control of the table. i mean, using it to control all the pierce operations and possibly using the "wiggle pier...

Re: THC issue
I do have a water table. Grounds are all good. I double checked all the wiring. The altI I/o page verified that I'm not getting a change in the switch. Then I changed consumables and it started working. Then just as it started working it stopped again. Ground lead is on the metal being cut. Ohm mete...

Re: THC issue
Yes I also have windows defender disabled. I was hoping to get rid of it all together and like you MyCNCPC is not on the internet. I'm thinking my THC issue is resolved by doing custom profiles and observing voltage seems to be working well. I'm going to do more testing deliberately slope a piece of...

Re: THC issue
I worked on the plasma cutter after work today. I have a decent profile for 1/8 steel working well THC seems to be working correctly. I think I have made improvements to the COMM issues. I looked in the reports and it seems that the last couple days I have not gotten any resend type errors. At least...

Re: THC issue
Thanks again for the good advice. This help forum is a treasure trove of quality information. I will work on building profile setups that work with my plasma cutter torch combination. I can clearly see the benefit with the little I was able to do this past weekend. I worked on the comm issue. I foll...

Re: THC issue
Wow, I didn't realize I was having communication issues. I did in the beginning but once I change a setting in the CNC pc the communication test pasted. So, I thought I was in good shape. I will have to look at that in more detail. I had some time today to work on the plasma table. I took a cut with...

THC issue
Hi, I'm having an issue with the THC. The machine is a new rebuild with closed loop stepper motors. It seems that when the torch gets up to the full feed rate (85. IPM for .125 steel) the torch will begin to raise up to roughly .5 or more above the part. It will stay there for the rest of that cut. ...

Re: communication stress test fail...Help!
Thank you all so much for the information to resolve this communication issue. I did have some time to make a few cuts, so I have some other questions. I'll start another post as I think this issue is resolved.
Thanks so much!
Mike
